It felt like spring today & I am so excited to start doing spring sessions! Right now I am booking for mid to late April for 2010 Senior Pictures… It’s not too late to get the best senior pictures before graduation!
Here are a few I don’t think I have posted before…
Jeanne is a 2010 Senior Model at Mike Turner Photography. She just won this 37 inch flat screen HDTV… Thanks for being such a great model Jeanne!

Sorry I haven’t posted to my blog in a long time. I have not had a single day off in over 13 straight weeks, so the blog has unfortunately suffered.
But this news is too exciting to not take the time to post… Emily F, from Columbus North High School, is a finalist in the national SPA Model Competition!!! She entered through my studio, Mike Turner Photography, where she got her senior pictures done.
She still has a ways to go before she wins that trip to San Diego to model for SPA Event 2010, but being chosen as a finalist is a great step in the right direction.
Check out Emily, and all of the SPA Model finalists here… http://spamodels.com/
Good luck Emily. I’m rooting for ya!!! 🙂
…Lake Michigan, that is!
We finally were able to do our “group shoot” at Lake Michigan last Saturday, June 13th. We had a great turnout with 13 class of 2010 seniors joining us. The skies didn’t exactly cooperate… as the storms cleared out, the clouds were supposed to follow! They did not. They stuck around.
Still… from the feedback I have received so far, I’d say it was a huge success! The kids all had fun & everyone has some killer shots to choose from. I will post more as they come back for their regular sessions & pick their favorites.
For now, I’ll just show you one of Karly so you can get an idea of how it went. Rock on class of 2010!
As a 2010 high school senior photographed at Mike Turner Photography before the end of September, you can enter into the national spa Model competition. You will receive a set of 10 comp cards, be put on the national spamodels.com website and be eligible to be a national spa Model. The 15 national winners will receive a modeling portfolio and an all-expense paid trip to model at the 2010 spa Event at the Del Coronado in San Diego, California, January 3-6, 2010.
Contact Mike Turner Photography at 317-796-1945 for more information and to book your session today!
Class of 2010 fans of my Facebook Page and Myspace friends receive 40% off of your session if you are photographed in June. Plus you can still get 16 free wallets if you have a card from one of my 2010 senior models.
Total savings of up to $350.00!
For June ONLY… 2 hour session indoor and outdoor is only $51.00.
3 hour session is ONLY $75.00
Add a “Trash The Dress” session for just $30!
And yes… This is for ALL session types at Mike Turner Photography! That means you can add on a Lake Michigan Beach session for only $180.00! …AND you can still split that with a friend and I’ll take you both (plus a parent).
Here are a few more favorites from my recent shoots with my class of 2010 senior models.
I have been very busy doing the full spring sessions for my Class of 2010 Senior Models. Here are a few favorites so far…
Kari has been my friend on Myspace for a while now, but I didn’t actually meet her until her recent model interview. As I was winding down my Class of 2010 Senior Model Search, I sent out a message to a small group of girls on Facebook and Myspace who I really wanted working for me… but I hadn’t heard from them yet about it.
Her mom actually called me from Florida! They were on spring break, but they didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity. I told them, “It’s cool. Just enjoy your vacation and give me a call when you are back in town.” About a week later, I interviewed her and we did a very brief test shoot. Here is one of my favorites from that test session. Look for more of her later this spring and summer.
On Saturday, June 6th, I am doing a FREE Lake Michigan beach shoot for all of my models! This is normally a $300 shoot! Now because there are so many of you (17 and counting), I can not fit you all in my car… so here’s the plan.
We will be meeting at my place and all following each other up there. I will have maps available, so if someone gets separated from the group it’s no problem.
You must bring a parent to attend. And you can bring one friend. I will shoot him/her for free also, but for them to receive any images they must do their senior pictures with me. That’s fair, right? 🙂
I don’t have the meet-up time nailed down just yet, but I wanted to give you guys a heads up about this. My thinking is… we will meet kinda early (like maybe 4:00) so we have plenty of time to get there, have something to eat, and go over some posing ideas before the sun gets to that “sweet spot” just above the water… then it will be very fast paced before the sun sets. That is why I want to go over some poses before hand.
I am very excited about this shoot, and I hope many of you can make it. The rain date will be the following Saturday, June 13th.
When we get closer to the date, I will be asking for rsvp’s so I know who to expect, but for now I just wanted to let you all know.
